I have played competitive baseball as a pitcher since I was seven (7) years old. I love the game because although you contribute individually, you only win as a team. I have learned many life lessons while playing baseball, including being a team player and overcoming adversity. As pitcher, I have learned to operate under pressure and the importance of leading my team not just in victory, but also by demonstrating good sportsmanship in defeat. I usually travel to play in tournaments twice a month, practice five days a week and workout daily. Traveling with my team has allowed me to see cities that I would not have otherwise seen. It has made me comfortable being away from home without my parent’s direct supervision and it has helped me learn to build camaraderie and function as part of a team. I have also gained many accomplishments through baseball including being named All American, and being selected to compete on national teams through major showcase sponsors such as Baseball Factory and Perfect Game. During the off season, I train to keep in shape and to keep my skills and techniques sharp. My dream is to play Major League Baseball so I have committed myself to a regimen of training, skill development, hard work and dedication.
